Monsky, Henry

(1890-1947)
   American communal leader, of Russian origin. He lived in Omaha, Nebraska, where he was active in Jewish and communal organizations. An ardent Zionist, he was the principal organizer of the American Jewish Conference of 1943. In 1945 he served as a consultant to the US delegation to the United Nations Organizing Conference in San Francisco. He was president of the Supreme Lodge of B'nai B'rith from 1943 until his death.
